J Seth Rolls Out Comprehensive Recovery at Romklao Housing Project, Orders Officials to Survey Every Household

J Seth is rolling out a comprehensive recovery at Romklao Housing Project, ordering officials to urgently survey every household, assist residents in verifying their registration rights, and ensure no compensation payments are missed.

At 16:00 on 7 Oct 2026, Mr. J Seth Thaiset visited Romklao Housing Project to monitor recovery efforts. He is advancing widespread assistance to residents following the easing of flood conditions. He instructed officials to promptly survey residents' hardships on a household basis, especially to verify and facilitate compensation registration to prevent any affected residents from missing out on aid.

Mr. J Seth stated that recovery must be continuous and comprehensive, covering all aspects including cleaning, environmental restoration, public utilities maintenance, and surveying residents' difficulties—particularly regarding compensation, which requires thorough data verification and reaching every household.

"I emphasized to officials that they must canvass the area proactively, not just wait for residents to come forward. They need to visit homes to ask how each household was affected. Those not yet registered must be helped to do so, ensuring no one loses their rightful benefits under the criteria," he said.

Mr. J Seth added that the Metropolitan Waterworks Authority (MWA) has continuously supported recovery efforts, especially by delivering drinking water daily to residents and officials in the area since the mission began.

Meanwhile, tomorrow MWA will increase its staff presence on site to assist with surveys and inquiries about compensation registration. They will help residents who have not yet registered to ensure coverage of every household and reduce the chance that affected individuals are overlooked.

"I thank the Metropolitan Waterworks Authority for its ongoing support—from daily drinking water deliveries to tomorrow’s increased staff to help with compensation registration surveys. This will enable us to reach more residents effectively," he said.

Recovery work at Romklao Housing Project will proceed simultaneously with area restoration, hardship surveys, compensation registration assistance, and public utility maintenance. All agencies will integrate efforts to ensure aid reaches all residents promptly and restore normal conditions as quickly as possible.
