Anutin Avoids Answering on Irregular Asset Declarations by Idea MP, Unaware of Thaksins Amnesty Request

Anutin said he was unaware that Thaksin Shinawatra had submitted a petition to the Committee for the Promotion of Social Peace requesting amnesty rights. He avoided responding to the National Anti-Corruption Commission's discovery of irregularities in the asset declaration of 'Idea MP,' instead singing the line, “Live with what you have, not with what you dream.”

At 12:39 p.m. on 13 October 2026 at the Government House, Anutin Charnvirakul, Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, was interviewed about former Prime Minister Thaksin Shinawatra's delegation of lawyers to submit a petition on 8 October 2026 to the Committee for the Promotion of Social Peace. The petition requested amnesty and the clearing of political allegations or cases under the Social Peace Promotion Act B.E. 2568 (2025). Anutin said, “I have not heard about this.”

When asked again whether anyone can apply for such rights, Anutin did not answer verbally but nodded in agreement. Regarding the National Anti-Corruption Commission's finding of irregularities in the asset and debt declarations of Ms. Suchada Sang Thanthap, the MP for Chaiyaphum from the Bhumjaithai Party, he said he was unaware.

When asked if, as a senior member of the Bhumjaithai Party, he had inquired about this matter with Ms. Suchada, Anutin avoided answering. At that moment, the song “Live and Learn” started playing in the Santi Maitri building, where sound system tests were underway in preparation for welcoming attendees of the IMF and World Bank meetings. Anutin remarked that the music was playing and sang along, “Live with what you have, not with what you dream.”

When asked whether this issue was his personal responsibility, Anutin continued singing the next line, “And do that the best you can,” without answering the question.
