Three Bhumjaithai MPs Respond to Sirichok, Confirm MP Donations Deducted from Salaries Legally

Three Bhumjaithai MPs teamed up to rebut Sirichok's claims stirring news about dissolving the Bhumjaithai Party, affirming that MPs' donation money is deducted from their salaries and confidently complies with the law.

On 15 Oct 2026 GMT+7, Mr. Kongkrit Ramsak, MP for Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya; Mr. Rittirong Phumisawat, MP for Maha Sarakham; and Ms. Rinlita Adisa, party-list MP of Bhumjaithai Party, collectively posted on Facebook to respond to former Democrat MP Sirichok Sopha's accusation that donations to Bhumjaithai Party from MP Ms. Suchada Sang Than Sap, MP for Chaiyaphum, might warrant party dissolution, stating:

Mr. Kongkrit clarified as a Bhumjaithai MP that party MPs can donate to support party activities by having the amount deducted from their salaries paid by the Secretariat of the House of Representatives. All donations are voluntary by each MP.

“Sirichok was formerly an MP, so he should clearly understand that this is legally permissible. Or is he pretending not to know? If he truly does not know, I take this opportunity to clarify for him,” he said.

Similarly, Mr. Rittirong Phumisawat, MP for Maha Sarakham, posted a statement clarifying that deductions from Bhumjaithai MPs' salaries to support party activities are donations used for various party objectives, including activities beneficial to the public and society. The process is based on voluntariness, transparency, and responsibility, with accurate recording of income, expenses, and legal donation evidence.

Meanwhile, Ms. Rinlita Adisa, party-list MP of Bhumjaithai, posted that Bhumjaithai MPs willingly donate part of their salaries, received from the Secretariat of the House of Representatives, to the party for activities serving the public as per the party’s objectives. She noted that since Sirichok was formerly an MP, he should be well aware of this fact. She emphasized that donations are voluntary, transparent, properly recorded, and legally documented. If there is evidence of wrongdoing, it should be submitted to the appropriate legal authorities for investigation, as no one is above the law.
