Phraadon Criticizes Suphanat for Trying to Discredit Government with Inaccurate Information, Urges MPs to Focus on Constituents

Phraadon strongly criticized Suphanat, a Bangkok MP, saying he should be out in the field helping people rather than sitting around gathering inaccurate information aimed at discrediting the government. He emphasized that MPs are representatives of the people, not influencers, and urged the public not to be misled.

On 17 Oct 2026 GMT+7, Mr. Phraadon Prisananantakul, Minister attached to the Prime Minister's Office, addressed accusations by Mr. Suphanat Meenachainan, Bangkok MP from the Prachachon Party, who claimed the government underestimated the flood relief budget by 12 billion baht. Phraadon warned against malicious intent that creates confusion and could lead to social unrest.

The government recognizes the people's needs. The Cabinet has approved an initial 4.7 billion baht relief fund and is preparing to approve additional central budget if the Department of Disaster Prevention and Mitigation submits a request.

He thanked the public for not being misled and urged them to follow government updates. He called on opposition MPs to be sensible and stop generating such negative publicity, reminding them that as representatives of the people, like the Bangkok MP, they should cooperate with the government to assist those affected instead of spreading half-truths to discredit the government, as they are representatives, not influencers.
