On 18 Oct 2026, Ms. Lalida Pertviwatana, Deputy Spokesperson of the Office of the Prime Minister, provided an update. The "Thai Chua Thai Plus" program under the government's 60/40 co-payment measure. According to the latest data as of Friday, 16 Oct 2026, at 23:00, a total of 26,740,565 people have claimed their benefits, while 1,191,936 merchants have been verified. This reflects nationwide participation from both the public and business operators. The government aims for this measure to reduce living costs, boost purchasing power, and distribute income to small retailers and the community economy.

Ms. Lalida added that the latest cumulative spending through the program totals 26,809.2 million baht, of which the government contributed 15,557.9 million baht and the public spent 11,251.3 million baht. This reflects the circulation of funds through purchases of goods and services under the program, with the government's co-payment measure supporting consumers' purchasing power alongside generating income for participating merchants.

Breaking down spending channels, Food Delivery services accounted for a total of 1,159.9 million baht, with the government contributing 668.2 million baht and the public spending 491.7 million baht. Spending at other stores totaled 25,649.3 million baht, with 14,889.7 million baht from the government and 10,759.6 million baht from consumers.

Ms. Lalida further revealed that having more than 1.19 million verified merchants is key to driving the measure’s reach to businesses across regions, especially small shops, restaurants, and community enterprises, which are crucial mechanisms for income distribution and stimulating grassroots economic circulation.

However, public registration for benefits ended on 15 Oct 2026, resulting in a final count of 26,740,565 beneficiaries. The government will continue monitoring spending and program implementation to ensure the co-payment measure benefits both consumers and businesses widely.

“The government prioritizes reducing living costs and stimulating the grassroots economy. The cumulative spending exceeding 26.8 billion baht reflects active participation by the public and merchants. The government hopes these funds will increase income for small businesses, stimulate purchasing of goods and services, and support economic circulation in communities,” she said.

The Deputy Government Spokesperson concluded by stating that the government will closely monitor the measure’s implementation to ensure spending complies with rules and achieves its goals of helping the public while enhancing liquidity for merchants and small business operators, contributing to sustained domestic economic growth.
