Prime Minister Says Hungry, Hungry After Photos of Dining with Thammanat Declines to Answer on Coalition or Confidence Vote Support

Prime Minister Anutin said "Hungry, hungry" after photos surfaced of him dining at an Indian restaurant with Thammanat, leader of the Kla Party, and declined to comment on coalition talks or support for the no-confidence vote, only offering a smile.

At 10:50 a.m. on 19 Oct 2026 GMT+7, Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Anutin Charnvirakul spoke at the Government House regarding the recent photos showing him dining with Lt. Col. Thammanat Prompao, party-list MP and leader of the Kla Party, at an Indian restaurant, which sparked political speculation about whether the Kla Party would join the government coalition. The Prime Minister briefly said, "Hungry, hungry," and smiled at the media.

Reporters attempted to ask further questions several times, but the Prime Minister did not respond. When asked if it was not yet time to address the issue, Anutin only smiled. Furthermore, when questioned about seeking the Kla Party's support in the no-confidence debate, the Prime Minister again gave no answer and immediately walked up to the Thai Khu Fah building.
