"Teng Natthapong" revealed that the opposition insists on the original 5-day framework for the no-confidence debate, portraying the blue regime as a threat to the country and labeling government policies as crimes against democracy, declaring readiness to impeach every second of it.
At 09:30 on 19 Oct 2026 GMT+7, at the Parliament building, the Shadow Cabinet (Shadow Cabinet) of the Prachachon Party (PCP) held a meeting, chaired by Mr. Natthapong Ruangpanyawut a party-list MP and leader of the Prachachon Party, who chaired the meeting to discuss various issues such as the Bangkok flooding problem and flood relief fund disbursement, as well as the three-party whip committee talks concerning the agreed timing for the government's no-confidence debate, among other topics.
Mr. Natthapong commented on the government’s plan to allow only 3 days for the no-confidence debate, saying the government must stop making unilateral decisions. In the past, fewer than 18 people were debated, but there were as many as 4 days for debate plus a vote, totaling 5 days. This time, 18 ministers are to be questioned, yet the government tries to announce without consulting the opposition that only 3 days will be given, possibly leaving the opposition just 2 days. He urged the Speaker of the House to convene the whips of both opposition and government quickly to set the debate timeframe. When asked again, whether the Speaker will call a meeting this week and if the opposition will insist on 5 days, Mr. Natthapong said he stands by the original timeframe.
He then added that the opposition’s lineup is nearly complete. They are ready every second; it depends more on the government when they allow the impeachment to begin. The number of people involved cannot yet be disclosed, but the figures are already in mind. An important point in this debate is to show that the blue regime truly poses a threat to the country. The government’s policies are effectively crimes against democracy. We aim to demonstrate that beyond administrative authority, there may be links to other sectors.
Beyond concrete receipts, the key point is that as the opposition, we must show the public how the government’s administration has failed. Many issues may lack definitive proof, such as vote rigging for the Senate. When we piece together various elements, the overall fraud becomes clear. Likewise, some government administration matters have clear evidence, others do not, but that does not mean the government has succeeded. The no-confidence debate will help the public see this.
However, when asked if the opposition will focus on Mr. Chaichon Chidchob, Minister of Digital Economy and Society, due to his close ties to the spiritual leader of the Bhumjaithai Party, Mr. Natthapong said it depends on who will be impeached more or less; it remains to be seen during the actual debate when the motion is submitted to the House.
