MP Idier Confident of Innocence After Husband Meets DSI Taiyang Sang Welcomes Investigation

Idier Suchada said she came to accompany her husband to meet the Department of Special Investigation (DSI) and is cooperating fully, confident they are innocent. She recalled that Raksachonok has raised political issues and insisted she has not disappeared. Taiyang Sang stated he welcomes the verification of facts.

At 11:30 a.m. on 20 Oct 2026 GMT+7, following Ms. Suchada Sang Taensap, or Idier, MP for Chaiyaphum Province from the Bhumjaithai Party, and Mr. Taiyang Sang, her husband, met with investigators from the Department of Special Investigation (DSI) for over three hours regarding potential links to a scammer and online gambling network through shareholding in the gambling website shuffle.com. Afterwards, she gave an interview stating that today the DSI invited her husband to provide information and explanation. Then she brought her husband out to face the media and said, “My husband is here.”

Ms. Suchada continued that, as she has said before, she is ready to provide information to all responsible authorities. Today the DSI invited her husband to give testimony and information, but she did not enter the interrogation room, only accompanying him. Regarding the 1.47% shareholding by her husband, she suggested reporters ask him directly, as she was not present during questioning.

Later, Ms. Suchada translated journalists’ questions into English and asked her husband whether reporters wanted to inquire about the shareholding and the reason for meeting the DSI today. Mr. Taiyang Sang replied in English that he appreciates the question. Today, he met the DSI officials to answer questions about his business operations. He welcomes verification of the facts under review and will fully cooperate with the authorities, providing all information he has and allowing officials to make their judgments.

Regarding rumors that Ms. Suchada previously brought her husband to meet senior police officers at the Royal Thai Police headquarters, she denied any such meeting related to any case. She emphasized that the issues raised are based on former politicians presenting documents from 4-5 years ago, mixing and matching information to create a misleading narrative. Some documents are old, making the matter appear problematic, but upon examination, it is not true. She stated this is not a matter of inquiry or investigation but a political attempt to create issues.

“Today, I am here at the DSI accompanying my husband, who is giving testimony to confirm our confidence in our innocence and readiness to cooperate with all relevant agencies.”

When asked whether the 1.47% shares held by Mr. Taiyang Sang were sold to anyone, MP Idier did not answer directly but said that since she was not the one giving testimony—only her husband was—if the DSI requests her testimony, she is ready to cooperate given the complexity of the issues.

Reporters then asked about Ms. Raksachonok Srinok, a party-list MP from the Prachachon Party, who shared news and claimed Idier had disappeared for three weeks and would return with a way out, questioning whether Bhumjaithai Party was underestimating Thai people. Ms. Suchada replied, “As I said, these are not genuine inquiries but based on mixing and matching facts, more of a political issue. Regarding the claim that I disappeared, I have not disappeared at all because my husband is still in Thailand as you see today. I have no objection to these questions.”

When asked if Ms. Suchada now knows Mr. Sirichok Sopa, former MP from the Democrat Party, she replied, “I believe everyone knows him. Whenever I open my phone, I see him; I thought it was my wallpaper.” When pressed whether she now knows what her husband’s profession is, MP Idier did not answer. Asked if the Prime Minister had given her any instructions, she said the Prime Minister had not given her any directives. Regarding many people doubting her husband’s explanations and how she could assure the public they are not involved with the online gambling site, she responded, “I am fully cooperating with all relevant agencies and have said so many times.”

Afterwards, Ms. Suchada and her husband asked to end the interview and then left the Government Complex Building C by private car, showing no signs of stress or worry. Meanwhile, updates on the investigation reveal that at 1:00 p.m. today, Mr. Sirichok Sopa, former MP for Songkhla from the Democrat Party, is scheduled to provide information to the Technology and Information Crime Investigation Unit after continuing to expose the 1.47% shareholding of Mr. Taiyang Sang.
