"Lawyer Aun" rushed to report to Senator Nantana about harassment believed to be connected to three major cases: Khao Kradong, exam cheating, and Senate election collusion. The cases are linked to a well-known provincial councilor. He demands access to CCTV footage from Provincial Police Region 3 to aid the investigation.,
At 11:00 a.m. on 20 Oct 2026 GMT+7 at the Parliament, Mr. Phattharaphong Suphaksorn, known as "Lawyer Aun Buriram," submitted a letter to Senator Nantana Nantawaropas requesting help after being continuously stalked and harassed by unidentified individuals, raising concerns for his and his family's safety. Mr. Phattharaphong said he was followed, with photos and videos of his daily life taken and uploaded on social media while in Nakhon Ratchasima. When he requested to view CCTV footage from Provincial Police Region 3, they initially refused and asked him to return the next day, 15 Oct. Upon returning, he confirmed the stalking but was told to submit a formal request for approval through the chain of command, implying delayed action. Later, his vehicle was inspected at a garage in Nakhon Ratchasima, where two tracking devices were found—an audacious act. He then reported everything to the Crime Suppression Division, where a report was filed, and it was revealed the SIM card owner used for tracking is from Sangkha District, Surin Province. The owner possessed five SIM numbers resembling dummy SIMs, with suspected ties to a scammer group operating along the border.
"What is happening to me today is definitely linked to influential groups in Amnat Charoen Province, as my information is always sent there, though I do not know who exactly. It might involve political power figures. I questioned how that group relates to the scammer syndicate. After investigating those who insulted me during protests, it was found the person secretly filming me appeared at Provincial Police Region 3. I then asked whether Provincial Police Region 3 protects criminals more than public safety. Yesterday, I filed a complaint with the National Human Rights Commission. Recently, a concerned person from Prakhon Chai District, Buriram Province, called a friend of my father in Na Pho District, Buriram, warning me and my father to be careful as there are threats to my life. I am investigating three main cases: Khao Kradong, exam fraud, and Senate election rigging. If anything happens to me, these are the key cases I am fighting to protect the nation’s interest. I affirm I will not back down because my life is dedicated to justice for this country," Lawyer Aun said.
Senator Nantana stated that Mr. Phattharaphong is facing serious threats, including life-threatening intimidation, which is not normal for any country. She emphasized that this issue should not be ignored and that society must raise its voice to identify the root causes of such harassment. Although lawsuits have been filed to silence Mr. Phattharaphong, the current actions seem aimed at ending his efforts entirely, which is very dangerous. She urged collective action to prevent Thailand from becoming a lawless place or one ruled by thugs and warned against allowing those fighting for justice to be subjected to intimidation.
When asked about potential political connections to the case, Mr. Phattharaphong said the evidence points to people in the protest closely associated with Mrs. Suksomruay, a well-known money handler. He requested that Mrs. Suksomruay, in her capacity as Minister attached to the Prime Minister's Office—who oversees the Royal Thai Police—order the Provincial Police Region 3 Commander to release the CCTV footage from the day of the incident. He said he and Mrs. Suksomruay would only be witnesses. He questioned whether this could be done.
