The NACC has temporarily frozen additional assets worth a total of 44 million baht belonging to MP Chonnaphat and associates in relation to online gambling offenses, with the freeze lasting no more than 90 days.
On 20 October 2026, the Office of the National Anti-Corruption Commission (NACC) posted on its Facebook page that it had taken action against assets involved in a case concerning a group organizing online gambling, including Chonnaphat Naksaow, MP for Songkhla from the Kla Party, and associates. Previously, the NACC had seized and frozen assets in three instances totaling approximately 182 million baht. These cases are currently under civil court consideration under case numbers F 16/2569, F 106/2569, and F 167/2569.
Subsequently, the NACC conducted further investigations and identified an additional asset related to the same online gambling case involving Chonnaphat and associates: cash and digital assets held in a digital asset trading account valued at approximately 44 million baht. On 19 October 2026, the NACC Secretary-General exercised authority under Section 48, paragraph two, of the Anti-Money Laundering Act B.E. 2542 (1999) to issue a temporary asset freeze order, numbered Y.243/2569, on the assets related to this offense.
The temporary asset freeze order is effective for no more than 90 days. If the asset owner or any interested party wishes to request the revocation of this order, they must submit a written request to the NACC Secretary-General along with evidence proving that the seized assets are not related to the offense within 30 days from the date they receive the written notification of the order.
