The traditional Thai costume stands out prominently at Paris-Charles de Gaulle Airport in France. The Ministry of Culture continues its efforts to secure its registration as a UNESCO World Heritage this December.
On 20 October 2026, reporters noted that at Paris-Charles de Gaulle Airport, France’s largest airport and the third busiest in Europe, a display of the royal Thai traditional costume was projected on a large screen. This aligns with the policy of Sabida Thaiset, Minister of Culture, who is advancing the effort to register the Thai traditional costume as an Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity with UNESCO, scheduled for consideration in December 2026.
Previously, the royal Thai traditional costume has been featured on giant billboards in several countries, including a massive billboard in the fashion capital of France and in three major business districts in central Tokyo.
