‘Ice Rakchanok’ Demands Party Leadership Defend Hardworking Members, Condemns Elite Lobbying with Expensive Wine

"Ice Rakchanok" refuses to tolerate further and urges the People’s Party leadership to protect those who are dedicated to their work. She counters those who sip expensive wine and use drinking circles as lobbying platforms to create narratives that undermine hardworking members, insisting that idolizing individuals must end.

On 21 Oct 2026 GMT+7, reporters from the People’s Party (PP) reported that the internal atmosphere of the party currently shows a high likelihood of fractures emerging, stemming from events earlier in October. Mr. Piyabutr Saengkanokkul Secretary-General of the Progressive Movement and former Secretary-General of the Future Forward Party (FFP), who was one of the founders of FFP, posted on Facebook about “Entertainment Democracy.” This post was interpreted as criticism of the People’s Party’s operations and its current MPs. Ms. Rakchanok Srinok List MP of the People’s Party

However, the drama has been ongoing for two weeks and seemed to have subsided. Recently, it was reported that Ms. Rakchanok asked in a Line group whether any party leadership would clarify or respond to the issue. She lamented individuals who seldom work but frequently gather over expensive wine, using these drinking circles as lobbying venues to create narratives undermining those who work hard. She argued such matters should be critiqued internally to enable correction rather than opportunistically throwing flawed logic at others while drinking. She also noted that the criticism does not come from sincere intentions or constructive feedback. She called on the leadership to defend hardworking members and find ways to communicate that do not create conflicts within voter groups.

When reporters checked Ms. Rakchanok’s Facebook, they found she posted the message: "One thing I have definitely stopped in my life is idolizing individuals." Additionally, a senior insider within the People’s Party confirmed the situation, saying some MPs now feel it is difficult to work because everything is tied to social media trends, which they believe will not benefit the party in the long term.
