Ruttaphon Confirms Invitation to Rom for Information on Idiers Husband Case Today, Affirms Legal Action Regardless of Party Affiliation

Ruttaphon affirmed that the case involving 'Idier's husband' will proceed under the law regardless of party affiliation, since the process must pass through both prosecutors and courts. He noted that Rom has been invited to provide information today after Sirichok submitted evidence to the DSI.

At 09:00 on 22 Oct 2026 at the Government House, Pol. Lt. Gen. Ruttaphon Nawarat, Minister of Justice, addressed concerns about the case of Mr. Taiyang Sang, husband of Ms. Suchada Sang Thanthap, a Bhumjaithai Party MP for Chaiyaphum, currently under investigation by the Department of Special Investigation (DSI) and possibly escaping prosecution. He said that Mr. Sirichok Sopa, former Democrat Party MP, was promptly invited to give testimony, which will serve as evidence in the case. The ministry is committed to fairness for both sides, not relying solely on testimony from Ms. Suchada, but also including evidence from Mr. Sirichok and has invited Mr. Rangsiman Rome, a party-list MP from the People's Party, to provide clarification today. The evidence from both sides will be compiled in the case file.

When asked whether the matter would be influenced by party affiliation, Pol. Lt. Gen. Ruttaphon said, "No, once it is in the case file, it cannot be anything else, as it must go through the justice process including the prosecutors and the courts."
