Suchart Denies Involvement in Checkpoint Bypass Amulet Truck Stickers Featuring His Image and Name

Suchart issued a statement to the media and public, denying any involvement or consent in helping trucks affix stickers with his image and name as a "checkpoint bypass amulet," and revealed that legal departments are investigating and pursuing legal action.

On 22 Oct 2026 GMT+7, Suchart Chomklin, Minister of Natural Resources and Environment, posted on Facebook regarding reports and social media posts showing trucks with stickers of his face and name alongside messages questioning whether this was an abuse of influence or a "checkpoint bypass amulet" to evade inspections for illegal industrial waste transport.

I, Suchart Chomklin, Member of Parliament for Chonburi Province, District 1, and currently Minister of Natural Resources and Environment, would like to clarify the facts to ensure correct understanding among the media and the public.

1. I sincerely confirm that I have no involvement, consent, or assistance whatsoever to operators, truck owners, or any person in producing, installing, or using stickers bearing my image, name, or any message representing me on any vehicle.

2. As Minister of Natural Resources and Environment, I strictly adhere to law enforcement, vision, policies, and environmental measures, especially regarding illegal dumping of industrial waste and pollution. No sticker or image can be used as a “checkpoint bypass amulet” or shield to break the law under any circumstances.

3. I have coordinated with police, highway officials, and all relevant agencies to rigorously prosecute any trucks or vehicles breaking the law without exception, regardless of whose image, name, or sticker they display. If my name is used to evade inspections, it is considered deception and impersonation, and I urge officials to arrest offenders under the law.

4. I am working with legal teams to investigate and take legal steps against those who misuse my name and image to create misunderstandings or unjustly benefit themselves.

I thank the public and media for acting as vigilant eyes in society and reaffirm my commitment to performing my duties with honesty and fairness for the benefit of the nation and its people.
