Chulalongkorn Day Toll-Free Expressways on 3 Routes, 63 Toll Gates to Ease Public Expenses

The government supports travel on the "Chulalongkorn Day" holiday by waiving toll fees on three expressway routes covering 63 toll gates to reduce public expenses. It also warns users of a traffic diversion at the Chaloem Ratch Expressway, Chatuchot tollgate inbound side, on 24-25 October 2026.

On 23 October 2026, Ms. Ploytale Lakshamisangchan, Deputy Spokesperson of the Prime Minister's Office, announced that on the annual public holiday of Chulalongkorn Day, as declared by the Prime Minister's Office, the Expressway Authority of Thailand (EXAT) under the Ministry of Transport will waive toll fees on three expressways totaling 63 toll gates: 1. Chalerm Maha Nakhon Expressway (Din Daeng–Bang Na–Dao Khanong) with 21 toll gates; 2. Si Rat Expressway (Chaeng Watthana–Bang Khlo–Srinakarin) with 32 toll gates; and 3. Udon Ratthaya Expressway (Bang Pa-in–Pak Kret) with 10 toll gates. This is to facilitate public travel during the holiday, reduce public expenses in line with government policy, and help ease traffic congestion near toll booths.

Meanwhile, the Expressway Authority of Thailand announced a traffic diversion on the Chaloem Ratch Expressway at the Chatuchot tollgate inbound side to install concrete beams for the Chaloem Ratch Expressway extension project. This requires temporarily closing the right shoulder lane for about 500 meters, starting at the Chatuchot tollgate inbound side towards Bangkok, on the right edge of the roadway as follows.

On 24 October 2026, from 09:00 to 15:00 and from 21:00 to 04:00 on 25 October 2026.

On 25 October 2026, from 09:00 to 15:00 and from 21:00 to 04:00 on 26 October 2026.

Drivers can still use all three traffic lanes normally. The government prioritizes the safety of citizens and road users during the extended holiday weekend and urges the public to drive safely under the concept “Drive safely, no wrong-way driving for safety,” strictly obeying traffic laws and road discipline to reduce accidents and losses.
