Anutin reserves the right to take legal action against the Godd Dam page and an MP who shared a post concerning the fake 7-million baht tea slip, disregarding Sirichok's remark that the arrest was faster than for gambling cases and his retort, "Do I have to respond?".
At 16:05 on 26 Oct 2026 at Government House, Prime Minister and Interior Minister Anutin Charnvirakul addressed the arrest and legal action against the admin of the Godd Dam page, which spread claims of a 7-million baht transfer to him described as a "tea fee." He said, "When news is false, people pay it no mind and don’t care. Those with maturity and ability can discern and choose. See, no one cares except those with ill intent who click like or share; it’s no problem. I reserve the right to take legal action to protect my rights and reputation."
Regarding whether he would take legal action against the MP who shared the post, the Prime Minister said it was his right to do so.
When social media and opposition parties joked that cases like this get arrested quickly unlike scammers, the Prime Minister said to ask the national police chief as he gave no orders himself and only followed news from reporters.
When asked again if reserving the right meant proceeding with legal action, the Prime Minister said he has legal advisors and regular lawyers he employs.
Regarding former Democrat MP Sirichok Sopa’s comment about the swift action compared to the slow crackdown on online gambling, the Prime Minister retorted, "Do I have to answer that?" before immediately entering the Thai Khu Fah building.
