“Gadee” confirms that the Democrat Party is fully prepared to engage in the no-confidence debate, believing that the longer the delay, the better, as it allows for more information to be gathered. She stresses that there is strict internal fact-checking to ensure all information is of the highest quality.
On 26 Oct 2026 GMT+7, Mrs. Gadee Liaopyrojn, Deputy Leader and Party List MP of the Democrat Party, spoke about the no-confidence debate. She stated that the longer the timeframe is extended, the more beneficial it is, as it gives the party more time to investigate and gather additional information. Although the three-party whip meeting has yet to agree on a specific schedule and dates for the debate, the opposition has proposed 18 speakers, with an actual debate likely involving about 4-5 individuals. However, the verification process remains a crucial responsibility of the opposition to ensure quality.
“I don’t want this to be seen as a political game of brinkmanship between both sides, but rather as a process within the democratic system where time helps ensure proper scrutiny and answers the public’s questions simultaneously,” the Democrat Party representative said.
The Deputy Leader of the Democrat Party also reaffirmed the debate schedule: five days total, with four days of debate and one day for voting. She emphasized the rigorous process of filtering information, noting that there is intensive training and strict internal fact-checking to ensure that all information presented to the House is of the highest quality.
