“Chor” Amazed Police Identified Godd dam Page Admin in 12 Hours, Contrasts with Slow Progress in Public Cases

“Chor” asked that the admin of the “Godd dam” page not be linked to the Orange Party, emphasizing that even if the admin is a former “Move Forward” member, it is not possible to vet everyone’s background. She expressed amazement that the police identified the admin within 12 hours, contrasting this with the slow progress in public cases that have lingered for years without resolution. On 26 Oct 2026 GMT+7, Ms. Pannika Wanich, a leader of the Progressive Movement, spoke about the justice process and police work following the case against the Facebook page “Godd dam” owner, a former Move Forward party member. The police took only 12 hours to identify and arrest the individual after a post viewed as defamatory against Mr. Anutin Charnvirakul. She explained that anyone can apply for party membership with just an ID card and a fee, but parties do not investigate personal character in depth. No political party, including Move Forward, can monitor or judge a person's social media posts or opinions to decide eligibility for membership.

Ms. Pannika also discussed a case she reported before the February elections regarding accounts committing offenses. Despite nearly a year passing, the police have yet to identify the individuals behind those accounts.

She added there was another complaint about the misuse of the “904 boxed meals” brand used in distributing aid during the late September floods. The police only recently informed her that they are coordinating with cyber police to identify the offenders, but after almost a month, there has been no progress.

“But in this case, it took only about 12 hours to identify and arrest the person, even though the content did not damage the Prime Minister’s position or national security but only harmed Mr. Anutin Charnvirakul personally as party leader and politician,” she said. Ms. Pannika further stated,

“The law must be enforced equally. The honor and dignity of ordinary citizens or political parties should not be trampled without consequence, while those in power receive full police action within hours. Even though we submitted names for investigation, there has been no progress.”

Pushback on Attempts to Link to “Orange Party”

Asked whether attempts to connect this issue to the “Orange Party” aim to create political division, Ms. Pannika said that once it became known the page owner was a former Move Forward member, there was an immediate effort to politicize the case.

She explained that this period is close to a no-confidence debate, and the opposition party’s complaint channels are more open than usual. Good civil servants, private individuals harmed by rigged contracts, or those affected by corruption and abuse of power submit leads. The opposition’s role is to receive, verify, and investigate these claims. Ignoring them would mean not acting as an opposition party but rather as “a party that simply supports the government.”

Regarding the “Godd dam” page, she noted it consistently expresses critical opinions of the government with a clear stance, not creating fake news for attention as alleged. If the page posts false information causing harm, the affected party has the right to pursue legal action. However, assuming it is intentional political harassment is incorrect.

Criticism of Bhumjaithai MPs Insulting Citizens

Concerning Bhumjaithai MPs posting harsh insults calling the page owner “stupid, lousy, and evil,” Ms. Pannika concluded firmly,

“Politicians insulting citizens is not constructive. Citizens can criticize politicians in any way, and if false and harmful, they can be sued. But politicians publicly insulting citizens reflects a lack of democratic political awareness.”
