Prime Minister Declines to Comment on Certification of Four Sin Tax Bills and Legal Action Against Godd Dam Page

The Prime Minister did not answer whether he had signed the certification of four sin tax bills, nor did he comment on legal action against the Godd Dam page before joining the promotion of the 'Dok Kaew Kanya' flower for the International Day of Persons with Disabilities. He asked if he could decline the Buddha statue offered by the Social Welfare Council.

At 10:00 a.m. on 27 October 2026 at the Government House, prior to the cabinet meeting (Cabinet). Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Anutin Charnvirakul walked down from the Thai Khu Fah Building to Building One Command Center. When reporters asked if he had signed the amendments to four bills funded by sin taxes after the public consultation, the Prime Minister did not respond to the question.

Reporters continued to ask whether he had filed a complaint against the Godd Dam page regarding the dissemination of false information about a 7 million baht transfer slip as a tip to the Prime Minister, and where the complaint was filed, but the Prime Minister also did not answer.

He then entered Building One Command Center, where the Social Welfare Council of Thailand under royal patronage, volunteers, and outstanding youth met the Prime Minister to promote and sell Dok Kaew Kanya products, a flower symbolizing persons with disabilities, and the 57th International Day of Persons with Disabilities event scheduled for 14 November 2026 at the Banquet Room, 1st Floor, Building 9, National Telecom Public Company Limited. Afterward, the Social Welfare Council prepared to present a Buddha Sothorn statue to the Prime Minister, who said, “May I not accept it?” before taking a group photo. Subsequently, the Prime Minister chaired the cabinet meeting.

Reporters noted that today, Minister Chaiyachon Chidchob, Minister of Digital Economy and Society, was the only minister absent from the cabinet meeting.
