Anutin revealed that the Cabinet is ready to face the no-confidence debate, preferring to start from 6 December onward. Regarding the number of days, the whips must discuss and decide. He added that ideally, they should be in the parliament today, but since the opposition is unwilling, they must find a date suitable for all parties.
At 12:00 noon on 27 October 2026, Anutin Charnvirakul, Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, gave an interview at the Government House regarding progress on the framework for the no-confidence debate. He said, "Today we received a letter from Sophon Saram, Speaker of the House of Representatives, and have discussed the timeframe in the Cabinet meeting. We will respond with the Cabinet's most convenient date, which is from 6 December 2026 onward." When asked how many days the opposition will be granted for the debate, Anutin replied that the whips must discuss it.
When pressed on whether the opposition's request for five days of debate would be granted, Anutin said the whips need to discuss. In the last failed three-party whip meeting, the opposition indicated they wanted five days just for this week, with four days for the remaining sessions being acceptable. Ideally, we should be in parliament today listening to the debate, but since the opposition refused, we must find a suitable date when all parties and ministers are free from other duties. However, when asked how many days he personally preferred for the debate, the Prime Minister said, "I am fine with whatever."
