Rangsit Rome clarified following Lawyer Tum's implication regarding his relationship with Big Joke, pointing out that the accusations do not align with the facts. He suggested the media revisit the police ticket scandal with the three police chiefs and affirmed his readiness to conduct investigations openly and transparently.
27 Oct 2026 GMT+7 Mr. Rangsit Rome List MP of the People's Party responded to reporters regarding Lawyer Sittha Bia-ngerk, or Lawyer Tum, implying a relationship between himself and Police General Surachate Hakparn or Big Joke, former Deputy Commissioner of the Royal Thai Police, saying he has received complaints multiple times as chairman of a parliamentary commission. To accuse him that receiving complaints means being a subordinate is an allegation that does not reflect the truth. His relationship with all complainants, including Big Joke, is strictly professional. If Big Joke has information about police or gambling websites, he is ready to investigate openly and transparently, even to the extent of live broadcasting.
Regarding the 'ticket scandal,' Mr. Rangsit said he thanks Lawyer Tum for revealing this issue. Although he cannot disclose at this stage how he obtained the tickets, he emphasized that after exposing the ticket scandal in the House of Representatives, such documents have not resurfaced. While the police ticket system has not been completely eradicated, it has helped reduce blatant abuses. He added that if anyone still doubts or wants more information, the media should inquire about the truth regarding the ticket documents and signatures from the former and current police chiefs—three individuals: Police General Chakthip Chaijinda, former police chief who handed over the documents; Police General Tosak Suvimol, former police chief; and Police General Samran Nuanma, the current police chief.
Mr. Rangsit also confirmed that if Lawyer Tum or anyone is interested in discussing the suppression of the police ticket system, he is happy to cooperate and continue efforts to restore justice for police officers who perform their duties honestly.
