On 27 Oct 2026 GMT+7, Ms. Supamas Isarapakdi, Minister attached to the Prime Minister's Office and overseer of the Office of the Consumer Protection Board (OCPB), revealed she has instructed the OCPB to urgently investigate and assist people who purchased tickets for a concert in Japan that was canceled. She assigned Mr. Ronarak Poolpipat, Secretary-General of the OCPB, to verify ticket sales, payment recipients, and refund processes while coordinating with relevant agencies to ensure consumer rights are protected.Tags: [Supamas Isarapakdi, OCPB, concert cancellation, consumer rights, investigation]

Ms. Supamas said this action follows a complaint filed on 26 Oct 2026 GMT+7 by singer Hai Arpaporn Nakhonsawan and a group of victims to the OCPB regarding issues contacting the organizers of a Japanese concert, which was subsequently canceled. This affected people who had already paid for tickets. She emphasized the OCPB must quickly gather data on affected ticket buyers, check who has been refunded, identify any procedural obstacles, and coordinate with responsible parties to resolve the issues.Tags: [complaint, concert cancellation, ticket buyers, refund issues, OCPB]

“People who paid for concert tickets deserve clear explanations about who will refund them, the refund process, and the timeline for receiving their money back after the show was canceled. I have instructed the OCPB to monitor this issue closely, prioritizing the rights of ticket purchasers. They must promptly verify evidence and coordinate with relevant parties to ensure consumers are treated fairly,” Ms. Supamas stated.Tags: [consumer rights, refunds, concert cancellation, OCPB, transparency] Ms. Supamas stated.Tags: []

The OCPB will review evidence of ticket purchases, payments, event terms, and any business links in Thailand to determine appropriate actions within its authority. If legal criteria are met, the OCPB will expedite mediation to secure consumer compensation and consider legal proceedings on behalf of consumers. For cases beyond the OCPB's jurisdiction, they will coordinate with responsible agencies and clearly inform complainants of alternative procedures.Tags: [OCPB, legal authority, mediation, consumer compensation, jurisdiction]

Ms. Supamas added that the OCPB has been instructed to investigate online ticket sale advertisements. Should any false or exaggerated claims be found, legal action will be taken immediately. In cases suggesting fraud, the OCPB will coordinate with police investigators and advise victims to file formal complaints. The agency will continue to monitor progress in assisting consumers.Tags: [advertising investigation, online sales, fraud, legal action, OCPB]

For those who purchased tickets and have not yet received refunds or have been otherwise affected, they are advised to keep proof of ticket purchase, payment transfers, related messages, and advertisements for verification. Complaints or information can be submitted via the OCPB hotline 1166, the OCPB Connect application, the website www.ocpb.go.th, or any OCPB provincial offices nationwide.Tags: [victim guidance, evidence collection, complaint channels, OCPB, consumer assistance]
