The Prime Minister has instructed 18 ministers to clear their schedules and participate in the no-confidence debate from 7 to 11 December. He confirmed they will listen throughout the proceedings, even though Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim will visit Thailand on 8 December. The Prime Minister is confident the situation can be managed and declared that the government is prepared to explain all accusations with supporting evidence.
At 3:00 p.m. on 28 October 2026 at the Royal Thai Police Headquarters, Anutin Charnvirakul, the Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, commented on the agreement by the three-party whip committee to hold the no-confidence debate from 7 to 11 December. He said this was a proposal that the government had already responded to in a letter to the House Speaker, stating readiness from 6 December onward. He has ordered ministers to clear their schedules, especially the 18 ministers facing criticism, who should attend the parliamentary sessions. He added that only two ministers would not be excused since they are the ones under scrutiny and must clarify and listen to the opposition coalition's suggestions, criticisms, and allegations.
When asked if he would attend the meetings throughout the debate, the Prime Minister replied affirmatively. However, on 8 December, Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim is scheduled to visit Thailand. Unless there are changes, he believes the situation can be managed since one can follow the debate from anywhere.
Regarding expectations for the opposition's debate this time, the Prime Minister said that expectations should not be too high. The opposition must perform their duties fully, while the government will respond to questions and accusations with the evidence available. He expressed confidence that the government can answer because its policies clearly aim to benefit the country and its people. He stated the government is confident and willing to address all concerns in parliament so the public can be informed simultaneously.
