On 29 Oct 2026 GMT+7, following a reporter's question to Prime Minister and Interior Minister Anutin Charnvirakul about Korn Chatikavanich's criticism regarding the B20 fuel tax reduction, Anutin implied that Korn, being wealthy, could never understand farmers' lives. He said Korn never lived in rural areas and that Korn's past farming was minimal, done merely to build a profile for selling packaged rice. Anutin claimed Korn is not someone who truly endures the hardships of farming, where every baht counts as cost, and thus cannot comprehend farmers' lives as well as he does. Recently, Korn Chatikavanich responded politely to the issue, first thanking the Prime Minister for consistently following his work. Korn and his colleagues have been assisting farmers since 2013 and are pleased that even the Prime Minister is aware of this. Tags: [response, Korn Chatikavanich, farmer assistance, politics]

Korn further stated that over the past 13 years, he has learned much from villagers about rice farming and the lives of Isan people. He honestly admits he is a city man who has never faced the real hardships of farmers who endure the elements. However, he never considered this a limitation in trying to find ways to improve the livelihoods of farmers and cultivators. Moreover, Korn posed a crucial question to the administration, noting he is hopeful the Prime Minister now recognizes the difficulties farmers face. While Korn has only been able to help within his means, the key issue now is that since the Prime Minister is fully aware of farmers' hardships and holds full administrative power, what measures will he take to genuinely assist them? Korn believes that if the Prime Minister truly intends to help, it is certainly within his capability. Tags: [politics, farmer aid, government responsibility, Korn Chatikavanich]

Korn also mentioned that since the Prime Minister has kindly promoted the rice project, he takes this opportunity to further advertise for the farmers. He said anyone interested in quality organic jasmine rice from Thai farmers can contact the 'Khao Im' Facebook page. He concluded by thanking the Prime Minister again for mentioning the 'Im' project this time. Tags: [rice promotion, organic rice, farmer support, Korn Chatikavanich, Khao Im project]
