“Yingcheep iLaw” Petitions Supreme Court President to Dismiss Defamation Case Filed by “Anutin” Over Disclosure of Senator Vote-Rigging Case

“Yingcheep iLaw” submitted a letter to the Supreme Court President requesting dismissal of the defamation case filed by “Anutin” regarding the disclosure of the senator vote-rigging case, pointing out that the lawsuit falls under bad faith litigation.

At 10:00 a.m. on 29 October 2026 at the Supreme Court, Sanam Luang, Yingcheep Atchayanon, director of the Internet for People's Law Project (iLaw), submitted a letter to the Supreme Court President requesting oversight of adherence to the Supreme Court President’s guidance on bad faith criminal litigation in 2026. He asked the Criminal Court to dismiss the defamation case filed by Prime Minister Anutin Charnvirakul against Yingcheep, describing it as a lawsuit filed in bad faith.

Yingcheep said that dismissing this case is not only in the defendant’s interest but also upholds the standards of law enforcement and the Supreme Court President’s binding guidance, preventing the court or justice system from becoming tools for politicians.
