At 06:50 on 30 Oct 2026 at Military Airport 2, Wing 6 (Wing 6) Don Mueang, Bangkok, Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Anutin Charnvirakul disclosed regarding fighting in Myanmar that injured Thai people in Mae Sot district, Tak province, that he has ordered the provincial governor and security officials in the area to fully look after the people.
When asked whether a formal notification has been sent to Myanmar, Anutin said this is part of ongoing directives and continuous discussions, including informing the neighboring country's leader. He emphasized that Thailand must protect its own people, and if no action is taken, it will be necessary to escalate self-defense measures.
