Air Force Deploys F-16s for Patrol Over Mae Sot Loud Noise Expected, Public Advised Not to Panic

The Royal Thai Air Force has deployed two F-16 fighter jets to patrol the airspace over Mae Sot district in Tak province. Residents may hear loud aircraft noise, and authorities ask them not to panic.

On 1 November 2026, the Ratchamanu Task Force informed border residents that the Air Force will conduct an aerial patrol mission starting at 17:00. Two F-16 fighter jets will operate over Mae Sot district, Tak province, and nearby areas to oversee and monitor air security situations.

This mission may cause residents in the area and nearby locations to hear louder-than-normal aircraft noise. The Air Force has issued this advance notice to prevent misunderstandings and avoid causing alarm. They also urge the public to have confidence in the Air Force's ongoing duties to monitor, ensure safety, and protect the country's security continuously.
