Worasit Denies Government Is Addressing Problems Daily, Unconcerned by Prachachon Partys Fundraising to Overthrow Blue Regime

Worasit denied that the government is dealing with problems on a daily basis, stating instead that it is dismantling and cleansing issues that previous governments did not address. He pointed out that the Prachachon Party's fundraising to overthrow the Blue Regime is their right and expressed no concern, noting that efforts to topple the government have existed since day one. He added that no matter how well the government performs, critics will always find fault.

At 11:30 a.m. on 2 Nov 2026 in Nong Khai Province, Deputy Minister of Interior Worasit Liangprasert spoke about preparations for the no-confidence debate under Section 151. He said the government has been preparing for everything and has no particular concerns or special preparations because all their work since the beginning has been based on facts. Therefore, all information is already available on every issue.

When asked if he was confident the opposition would understand the government's actions, Worasit said that it is naturally the opposition’s role to criticize. Whether they understand or not is beyond his control. However, he emphasized the importance of clarifying the facts in response to the opposition’s questions. The opposition’s role is to submit the motion, while his and the government’s duty is to explain the facts regarding any doubts or issues raised.

Regarding the opposition’s campaign accusing the government of monopolizing power and addressing problems only daily, Worasit responded that many issues were untouched by previous governments because they involved entrenched vested interests and networks. For example, the government is currently dismantling nationality conversion issues, also called a complete 'house cleaning.' These problems did not arise today but have existed for 10 to 15 years, such as foreigners bringing money to convert their nationality improperly and settle in areas unlawfully. Therefore, accusing the government of daily problem-solving is inaccurate, as they have been working on these issues from the start. Importantly, the government is not abandoning these efforts but is building systems to prevent recurrence. They have uncovered how serious past problems were and are actively resolving them.

When asked about the Prachachon Party’s fundraising to overthrow the Blue Regime, Worasit said he had not seen such news but acknowledged that if it is legal, the party can do so. He expressed no concern, noting that politically they are opponents. Therefore, even if the government acts correctly, the opposition will not agree or praise them. The opposition will seek points to criticize because it is a political issue.

When pressed on whether he worried that such fundraising might draw public participation, Worasit said the party normally accepts donations for its political activities, which is their right and allowed if within legal bounds. He reiterated that the Prachachon Party has sought to topple the government since day one, not just recently. Since it is a political issue, disagreement is natural. Even if the government acts properly, the opposition will not commend them but will criticize as is typical in politics.

When asked about a Dusit Poll showing the government’s popularity lower than the opposition’s, Worasit said that everyone must now work harder to achieve results. He emphasized that the government took office amid many major, uncontrollable crises such as disasters, including floods in deserts abroad and heavy flooding in Europe and other countries, as well as conflicts in the Middle East. These situations are beyond their control and impose shocks on the country, which may make problems appear numerous. Nevertheless, the government must find ways to manage and guide everyone through these crises as best as possible.
