Prime Minister Ready to Receive Protesters in Bangkok, Accepts Petition on Livelihood and Fuel Prices

The Prime Minister is prepared to receive protesters coming to Bangkok to submit a petition addressing livelihood issues and fuel prices. He emphasized that this government is ready to listen to all voices and denied rumors about orders from governors and police to block protest routes.

At 11:15 a.m. on 3 Nov 2026 at the Montathip International Convention Center in Udon Thani Province, Prime Minister and Interior Minister Anutin Charnvirakul spoke about a group planning to march to Bangkok on 5 November to present a petition demanding solutions for livelihood and fuel price problems. He said that economic indicators are currently on the rise with positive responses, especially key agricultural products whose prices have increased. Therefore, the public should benefit from higher agricultural product prices.

The Prime Minister stressed that the government is ready to listen to all people's voices because gatherings and protests are a way to send messages to the government about what actions to take. He affirmed that this Cabinet is prepared to listen and implement any reasonable and beneficial proposals.

Regarding preparations to handle and facilitate the protesters amid reports that orders were given to provincial governors and police to block routes into Bangkok, the Prime Minister said this is not true. There may be directives for governors, police, and transport authorities to fully assist and prevent pressure situations. Protesters are exercising their constitutional rights, and it is the government's duty to provide care and facilitation, as long as everything remains within the constitution and law, without causing trouble to others or damaging state or private property. He emphasized that if protesters come with reasonable intentions to communicate problems to the government for resolution, the government is ready. He cited his previous meeting with the P-Move protestors who requested support for farmers and land issues as an example, expressing confidence that all Cabinet members are willing to meet with peaceful protesters who act in good faith for the public and the country.
