At 09:45 on 5 Nov 2026 GMT+7 at the Parliament, Ms. Boonyanuch Saengsri, also known as Oysri, managing director of Oysri and Associates Legal Consulting Ltd., accompanied by lawyer Mr. Thanakan Noipitak, submitted a complaint letter to Mr. Pittakdej Dechdecho, MP for Nakhon Si Thammarat from the Democrat Party and chairman of the House Anti-Money Laundering and Narcotics Control Committee, requesting an investigation into the use of donation funds by the Good Deeds Foundation of Ms. Panadda Wongpudi.Tags: [Parliament, Legal Complaint, Good Deeds Foundation, Donation Misuse, Anti-Money Laundering Committee]
Ms. Boonyanuch explained the complaint stems from prior issues involving Ms. Panadda’s foundation. She submitted the matter to the relevant committee aiming to bring attention to it and to initiate a major nationwide effort to reform, inspect, and prevent individuals from exploiting public goodwill and causing public distress for personal gain.Tags: [Foundation Investigation, Public Interest, Legal Reform, Donation Misuse, Anti-Corruption]
Lawyer Mr. Thanakan clarified the legal purpose of the complaint, noting that since the opposing party called for an investigation, they proceeded to file a criminal complaint that cannot be retracted or settled out of court. They submitted this to Mr. Anutin Charnvirakul and today to the Anti-Money Laundering Committee at Parliament to examine the case from all angles. The allegations include transfers of about 300 million baht into a personal account and 200 million baht to the husband, as well as using the money to purchase life insurance policies for her father and other personal assets. He emphasized the need for decisive action.Tags: [Legal Complaint, Criminal Case, Money Transfers, Personal Assets, Life Insurance]
Mr. Pittakdej, after receiving the complaint, said he would present the matter to the screening panel to consider if it falls under the Anti-Money Laundering Committee’s authority. He would then seek the committee’s approval to proceed with an investigation. If relevant information is found, involved agencies and persons will be called in for explanations to ensure fairness. The committee has previously investigated several associations and foundations found to have misused donation funds contrary to their registered objectives.Tags: [Investigation Process, Parliamentary Committee, Donation Misuse, Oversight, Fairness]
When asked about tracing the money trail, Ms. Boonyanuch said it began with a 1,000 baht personal transfer slip she donated to the foundation. She discovered that a recipient named Chang Ae used a personal account to receive donations instead of the foundation’s account, causing confusion. This led to a criminal case. She also monitors other foundations, including one with court rulings and a chairman admitting to forging founding signatures. They found transfers to personal accounts of the chairman’s son, daughter-in-law, and husband. Another case involves teacher Beer Kontuengtham, where they must verify if land purchases matched the foundation’s purposes. Though some social media posts were deleted, all evidence has been preserved. She welcomed lawyer Tum’s help to bring victims forward regarding Ms. Panadda’s foundation, considering it a national effort.Tags: [Money Trail, Donation Account Misuse, Forgery, Related Cases, Evidence Preservation]
Regarding legal proceedings, lawyer Mr. Thanakan said evidence links transfers of 200 million baht to the husband’s account and 300 million baht to Ms. Panadda’s personal account. This constitutes misappropriation of public donations, not just 10–20 million baht. The case involves three counts of money laundering over multiple occasions, including using funds to buy life insurance for her father and other items for her husband, with penalties up to 20 years. The accused, as the decision-maker, cannot shift blame to her husband or others. The complaint covers all involved parties, including foundation directors, secretary, treasurer, and legal advisors. If violations are found, investigators may issue additional warrants as evidence emerges.Tags: [Criminal Charges, Money Laundering, Legal Accountability, Penalties, Investigation]
