Rangsit Rome is confident there will be no postponement of the no-confidence debate scheduled for 7-11 December. He insists the People's Party has no kickbacks or patrons and is loyal only to the people, not anyone else.
5 Nov 2026 GMT+7 Mr. Rangsit Rome List MP of the People's Party, emphasized that the opposition is prepared to fulfill their role for the no-confidence debate. He is confident it will take place from 7-11 December, noting that the opposition still has one month to gather additional information. Although they could debate now, with more time, it is the opposition’s duty to expand the scope and deepen the clarity of the investigation.
Regarding the People's Party’s fundraising for this no-confidence battle, Mr. Rangsit said the party relies on support from the people. The donations help sustain and strengthen the party’s ongoing work. He affirmed, “We are a political party that does not pay salaries to MPs; everyone must work together to make this a party of the people. For the People's Party, we are not servants to any patrons, but servants to the people, who are the true sovereign power of Thailand.”
Mr. Rangsit added that political parties inevitably have budgets. Spending must be supported by funding, but the People's Party does not receive money from kickbacks or patrons. Instead, they choose support from the people, which is highly meaningful to the party.
