King Prajadhipok's Institute awarded the media contest for promoting democratic awareness. "The Next Wave" from Sadao Kanchaikamphananon Anusorn School in Songkhla won the first prize.
On 5 Nov 2026 GMT+7 at King Prajadhipok's Institute, Isara Seriwatthanawut, Secretary-General of the Institute, presented awards for the media contest themed "One Meaningful Voice" to youth who expressed perspectives on rights, duties, and the value of participation in democracy through creative videos that resonate with the younger generation.
The work "The Next Wave" from Sadao Kanchaikamphananon Anusorn School in Songkhla won first prize, while "What Can One Voice Change?" from Satriwithaya 2 School earned the runner-up award. Additionally, eight other entries from schools nationwide received second runner-up and honorable mentions.
Isara said that the word "creative" has two layers: the first is inventing something new, which the youth demonstrated with their unique works. More importantly, it means using one's voice to build, not to destroy. A strong democracy does not come solely from political mechanisms or laws but depends on citizens who understand their rights and duties, respect human dignity, accept differences, and are willing to take responsibility for the community. Especially in an age where anyone can create media, media literacy, fact-checking, and responsible technology use turn creativity into a genuine force for social good.
