Permanent Secretary Ready to Receive Kamnan Mano Mob Near Government House on 7 Nov, Believes Peaceful Negotiation Possible

Chatichai Bangchuad, Permanent Secretary of the Prime Minister's Office, is ready to receive the "Kamnan Mano" mob leading a crowd near Government House on 7 November. He said he is prepared to handle public grievances and forward them to the government, believing the protest will be peaceful and negotiations can happen.

At 08:50 on 6 November 2026 at Government House, Chatichai Bangchuad, Permanent Secretary of the Prime Minister's Office, spoke about the protest group led by Mano Khrueakaew, subdistrict headman of Krabi Noi and leader of the People's Revolutionary Front for Land Protection (PRFLP). The group plans to stage a political protest in front of Government House to pressure the government to resolve oil price and cost-of-living issues. The Prime Minister's Office has a Government House complaint center, which will analyze issues received before presenting them to the government. If matters involve specific agencies, they will be forwarded accordingly. He confirmed that cooperation between the government and the public remains normal.

When asked if any special precautions are needed given the mobilization of people from the South and other areas, Chatichai said it depends on the protesters' intent. If they come to make demands, the government is willing to listen. If it is a symbolic demonstration, the situation will be assessed. He believes the protest will be peaceful and that police permission has likely been obtained. Officials are on standby to receive complaints at all times, and citizens can also call hotline 1111, available 24/7.

When pressed on whether dialogue is still possible, Chatichai confirmed it is. He welcomes any complaints but said protest leaders have not yet made contact. The Prime Minister's Office is working with the police, and so far, the Prime Minister has not issued any directives, preferring to let procedures proceed as usual.
