Tense Moment in Bon Kai Community as Boss James Distributes Aid to Fire Victims

A tense incident occurred in the Bon Kai community as "Boss James," executive committee member of the Thai Progressive Party, visited to distribute relief items to victims of the Bon Kai community fire. During the visit, a 60-year-old man suddenly suffered convulsions in front of him. Emergency first aid was given, and the man was rushed to hospital, narrowly surviving.

On 6 Nov 2026 GMT+7, reporters reported a tense event inside the Bon Kai Development Community in Pathumwan district, Bangkok, which had recently suffered a major fire causing severe damage to residents' homes. The incident happened while Mr. Sujinda Sengiamphaisarn, known as "Boss James," executive committee member of the Thai Progressive Party, was surveying the fire scene after completing a mission to distribute survival bags and essential supplies to over 126 affected families at the Bon Kai Recreation Center.

Mr. Sujinda revealed that while inspecting a narrow alley with two-story wooden houses built closely together and damaged by fire, he noticed an elderly man, about 60 years old, wandering the scene appearing dazed. Intending to offer help, before he could speak, the man suddenly collapsed with convulsions and lost consciousness right before his eyes. Given the crowded conditions and strong smoke odor at the site, Mr. Sujinda quickly lifted the man and moved him to an open area with better air circulation.

He immediately administered basic first aid and coordinated for an emergency ambulance. After about 30 minutes, emergency medical personnel arrived at the scene and transported the elderly man to hospital in time for critical treatment.

Neighbors in the area reported that the 60-year-old man lives alone in the community without relatives in Bangkok and has chronic illnesses. It is believed his convulsions were caused by severe accumulated stress after his home was completely destroyed by fire, leaving him penniless and without medication for his conditions, which likely triggered the sudden convulsions.

Residents of the Bon Kai community expressed their gratitude for the decision to assist promptly, which helped the elderly man survive a life-threatening crisis safely.
