On 8 November 2026, the Royal Thai Air Force's official page posted images of F-16 MLU jets, stating that two F-16 MLUs rapidly scrambled to intercept and deter aircraft nearing the border area (QRA: Quick Reaction Alert) in Phop Phra District, Tak Province. The Air Force urged public confidence in its mission to defend Thailand's airspace sovereignty and ensure the safety of the people, operating 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
Earlier, on 1 November, the Air Force conducted an aerial patrol mission by deploying two F-16 fighter jets over Mae Sot District, Tak Province, and nearby areas to monitor and safeguard air security.
