Warawut led Suphanburi MPs from the Bhumjaithai Party in delivering 750 survival bags to flood victims in Song Phi Nong district, stressing teamwork and cross-ministry coordination to solve problems. He reaffirmed urgent water pumping and plans to establish sustainable retention basins in upper Suphanburi.
On 8 November 2026, Warawut Silpa-archa, Minister of Industry, along with Sorachat Sujit, Member of Parliament for Suphanburi district 1, Bhumjaithai Party; Nattawut Prasertsuwan, MP for Suphanburi district 2, Bhumjaithai Party; and related agencies, visited Song Phi Nong municipality, Song Phi Nong district, Suphanburi province to distribute 750 survival kits to alleviate residents' hardships.
Warawut said addressing issues for Suphanburi residents requires ongoing teamwork among ministers, MPs, provincial administrative organization council members, the governor, and provincial police commanders. United efforts will most effectively solve problems and assist citizens. He assured continuous mobilization of aid and coordination across ministries to provide full support.
"Every year, Suphanburi still faces flooding while other areas' waters have receded. Our floods last for months—three to four months—and have become routine, persisting since the time of former Prime Minister Banharn Silpa-archa. Elsewhere, floodwaters flow away quickly, but here the water waits to evaporate, so pumping is the only solution. Fortunately, close cross-ministry coordination, especially with the Ministry of Interior under Prime Minister and Interior Minister Anutin Charnvirakul, has led to deploying many water pumps from the Department of Disaster Prevention and Mitigation to speed drainage in Song Phi Nong," Warawut said.
Additionally, Warawut thanked Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Transport Pipat Ratchakitprakarn, along with Assistant Ministers Siripong Angkasungkiat, Pattharaphong Pattharaprasit, and Sanphet Boonyamanee, for supporting survival bags to aid residents in Song Phi Nong district.
Looking ahead, he has discussed with the Suphanburi governor plans for sustainable flood solutions by identifying multiple sites for retention basins, especially in upper Suphanburi, to slow water flow and prevent damage downstream.
He expressed support for all flood victims and assured residents that any issues or hardships can be reported immediately through MPs or the provincial governor, who will coordinate with ministries to procure necessary equipment and resources to promptly assist affected communities.
