Flooding in Hat Yai: A woman bitten by a kappa snake overnight urgently requested help as bleeding began from her gums and her breathing became rapid. Authorities have now transported her to the hospital, where she has received serum treatment.
On 26 Nov 2025, amid the flooding situation in Hat Yai, Songkhla Province, a Facebook user "Cartoon Chutikan" posted a request for help after being bitten by a kappa snake. Early this morning, she updated on Facebook, "I was bitten by a kappa snake over 24 hours ago. Due to flooding, I had to come by boat and jet ski. I called more than ten agencies since 3 a.m. last night with my partner, but no one could come. After the news spread, many called, but still, no one has come to pick me up or help me. #Now blood is coming from my gums, saliva is bloody, breathing is rapid and pounding, my legs feel like they're about to explode. Please help, I'm waiting (before I can't hold on)."
In the afternoon, she finally received assistance from officials who transported her to the hospital for treatment.
She recently posted a condition update saying she is now receiving treatment at Songkhla Hospital, has just received serum, and must have blood tests every 4-6 hours to monitor and plan further treatment for the snakebite. She thanked everyone, saying, "I think I have to endure and not cry in front of my child. When my child looks at me, I must smile. As a mother, I must survive since my child is still young. Thank you all very much."
After the post was shared, many people commented and sent words of encouragement.
