On 5 Dec 2025, the Department of Corrections explained regarding a musical performance at Klong Prem Central Prison, where online media showed Thaksin Shinawatra and Sek San Sukpimai (Sek Loso) performing together on stage.
The Department of Corrections reported receiving information from Klong Prem Central Prison stating that the images circulating were not genuine photos from the "Positive Energy Beyond the Walls Through the Power of Music" project for fiscal year 2026 on December 4.
This project aims to serve as welfare for inmates, improving their mental health, reducing anxiety, relieving stress, and building good resilience through positive activities that foster self-worth.
At one point, inmates requested Thaksin to sing with Sek San, as relatives who visited Thaksin told the media. The participating inmates wore prison-approved uniforms during the activity.
The project has been ongoing for several years and is associated with organizing the inmate sports competition called the Klong Prem Games during the upcoming New Year festival. It promotes both physical and mental health through music and sports for inmates. The project has been well received, helping reduce stress, create happiness, promote well-being, and encourage inmates to reform their behavior and prepare happily for reintegration into their families after release.
