Lawyer James Posts Questioning Unusual Timing of Will Inquiry for Natpong Within 24 Hours of His Passing

The final night of Buddhist funeral rites "Natpong" The event was well attended before a "mock cremation ceremony" scheduled for tomorrow, 6 Dec, to hand over the body to authorities for further forensic examination. Meanwhile, "Lawyer James" posted a thought-provoking message asking if it was strange that someone called to ask about the will less than 24 hours after Natpong's passing.

On 5 Dec 2025 GMT+7, at the pavilion in front of Rim Kok Temple, Village No. 4, Mae Yao Subdistrict, Mueang Chiang Rai District, Chiang Rai Province, close relatives, neighbors, colleagues, and acquaintances gathered to attend the Buddhist funeral rites of "Natpong", Mr. Natthawut Ponglanga, also known to relatives as "Kung", a 35-year-old journalist who died suddenly, leaving his family and acquaintances deeply saddened.

Tonight marks the final night of the Buddhist funeral rites before, at noon tomorrow (6 Dec 2025 GMT+7), the family will transport the body to the crematorium at Ban Rim Kok, Village No. 4, Mae Yao Subdistrict, about 1 km from Rim Kok Temple. This follows the Institute of Forensic Science discovering cyanide in the deceased's body and coordinating with the family to seize the body for a thorough examination to determine the exact cause of death, initiating an official investigation process.

The family has cooperated fully with authorities and agreed to complete the Buddhist funeral rites. However, the final procedure will be a "mock cremation ceremony" using a straw effigy to represent the deceased, which will be cremated instead of the actual body. After completing the religious ceremony, the body will be handed over to authorities for further forensic examination.

Meanwhile, online communities continue to follow the case closely as Lawyer James, Mr. Nitithorn Kaewto, posted on the Facebook page "Lawyer James LK", stating: "Nat has been gone less than 24 hours, and someone has already called to ask if Nat's will is with Lawyer James. Isn't that strange?"

After the post was shared, it attracted numerous comments. Further updates will be reported as they become available.
