Expressed regret The "housekeeper" insists she did not intend to poison the child, claiming she misunderstood the disinfectant as milk, and explained her reason for taking photos inside the house.
A Facebook user shared a warning after hiring a housekeeper from a Facebook group to clean their home, only to discover the housekeeper mixed "Dettol"—a multipurpose disinfectant—into their child's milk. The victim believes this was an attempt to make the child unconscious to facilitate theft. Both the victim and the housekeeper later appeared on the "Hon Krasae" program to clarify the facts, sparking ongoing online debate.
Most recently, at 14:10 on 30 Dec 2025 GMT+7, at the Malin Tower, Channel 3, after the "Hon Krasae" program aired, Mrs. Ann, the housekeeper involved, gave an interview to the media, saying she felt deceived into participating in the show and believed she was brought there to be detained by the police.
Mrs. Ann explained regarding the disinfectant mixed in the milk that she had no intention to harm the child and insisted it was a misunderstanding. She thought the bottle labeled "Foggy" contained milk because she believed Dettol only came in brown. She admitted that when pouring to clean the floor, she did not smell Dettol.
She apologized to the victim and asked society to give her a chance, expressing she did not want legal action due to her old age. She reaffirmed she did not intend to harm the child and regretted the incident. When asked why she left the show without apologizing on air, Mrs. Ann said she had already apologized before the program and previously, denying any intent to avoid responsibility.
Mrs. Ann also defended her past work behavior, stating she had cleaned many homes without any history of theft as alleged. She gave an example of cleaning a house where the owner left large amounts of cash, which she never touched.
Regarding taking photos inside the victim’s home, Mrs. Ann said she found the house beautiful and thought she might never have a chance to own such a home, so she took photos with her phone without intending to misuse them. When asked if she also found the child's birth certificate beautiful enough to photograph, Mrs. Ann replied, "Very beautiful."
After the interview, police invited Mrs. Ann for further questioning at Bang Phong Phang Metropolitan Police Station to investigate the facts in detail.
The victim, Mrs. Renuka, 35, said after the show that despite clear CCTV evidence, the perpetrator denied all facts. She feels such a person should have no place in society and must face legal consequences. Her son has returned to his normal cheerful self, but she worries about potential long-term effects of chemical exposure, which remain unknown and require ongoing monitoring.
She also urged the police to take clear action in this case, as the evidence clearly shows wrongdoing. She hopes the police will set an example and build public confidence that serious offenses will be properly addressed. Otherwise, the country would become unsafe and undesirable for its citizens.
