1. Child Subsidy or Child-Rearing Allowance for Newborns
The Ministry of Social Development and Human Security is preparing to disburse a child-rearing subsidy of 600 baht for January 2026 on Friday, 9 Jan 2026. Recipients can verify subsidy payments through various channels as follows.
2. Senior Citizen Allowance or Elderly Allowance
Seniors who meet the criteria—Thai nationality, not receiving any other welfare or benefits regularly from government agencies, state enterprises, or local administrative organizations—are entitled to a lifelong monthly allowance, scaled by age brackets as follows.
Ages 60–69 receive 600 baht per month.
Ages 70–79 receive 700 baht per month.
Ages 80–89 receive 800 baht per month.
Ages 90 and above receive 1,000 baht per month.
3. Disability Allowance
All persons with disabilities holding an official disability ID card are entitled to register for a "disability allowance" ranging from 800 to 1,000 baht per month, as follows.
Persons with disabilities aged 18 or under receive 1,000 baht per month.
Persons with disabilities aged over 18 receive 800 baht per month.
Furthermore, disabled persons over 18 who hold a State Welfare Card can receive an additional 200 baht monthly from the card, totaling 1,000 baht per month.
Those wishing to register for the disability allowance can do so at the Social Development and Human Security Office located in every provincial city hall, or in Bangkok at the Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities and the Bangkok Disability Service Center.
