Registration channels for the “Quick Debt Closure, Move Forward” program.

The Bank of Thailand has opened registration for the “Quick Debt Closure, Move Forward” program since 5 Jan 2026. Debtors meeting the above conditions can register through the following channels.

1. The Bank of Thailand website (www.bot.or.th/cleardebt)

2. The channel of Sukhumvit Asset Management Company Limited (SAM) (www.sam.or.th)

3. Channels of participating financial institutions. Initially, the program will cover debtors of commercial banks and their financial business groups first.

Debt repayment measures.

Under the project, Sukhumvit Asset Management Company Limited (SAM), acting as a Social Asset Management Company (Social AMC), will purchase unsecured bad debts from eligible debtors and restructure them with more lenient terms, such as reducing principal amounts or waiving all interest and fees if conditions are met. This aims to help debtors repay effectively, close debts faster, and improve their credit records with the National Credit Bureau, enhancing their chances of accessing system loans again. Debtors can choose repayment measures suitable to their ability, including:

1. Paying off debts in full immediately by settling a portion of the debt.

2. Paying in installments for up to 3 years without interest during the participation period.

After registration, debtors will be contacted by SAM or its representatives. For further inquiries, information is available via the Bank of Thailand (BOT contact center 1213), SAM (call center 1443 press 6), or the original creditor's call center starting 5 Jan 2026.
