The Treasury Department has produced the “Commemorative Coin for National Children's Day 2026” featuring a theme of children playing traditional Thai music. This aims to convey culture and express family warmth. The coin is sold at 20 baht each, starting 10 January 2026.
Akarut Sontayanont, Director-General of the Treasury Department, revealed that National Children's Day in Thailand falls on the second Saturday of January each year, which in 2026 is Saturday, 10 January. Prime Minister Anutin Charnvirakul has given the 2026 National Children's Day slogan: “Love Thailand, Care for the World,” to inspire children and youth to grow into quality citizens who love and take pride in their country while also recognizing their responsibilities toward the environment, society, and the global community.
The Treasury Department created the 2026 National Children's Day commemorative coin to honor and emphasize the importance of the nation's children and youth. The coin's design features the distinctive Thai identity through the charming image of children dressed in traditional Thai attire playing Thai musical instruments, conveying Thai culture and the warmth of Thai family love between an older brother and a younger sister. The reverse side depicts exquisite Thai architectural art passed down through generations. The coin is made of cupronickel, 32 millimeters in diameter, and comes with a case, priced at 20 baht each.
