At around 19:30 on 15 Jan 2026, a fire broke out in a drainage rubber pipe near a pier of Bhumibol 2 Bridge on the Pu Chao side. Relevant authorities were responding to the incident, as previously reported.
The latest update at about 20:20 reports that officials have brought the fire under control after the Pu Chao Saming Phrai Municipality requested support with 10 fire trucks from nearby areas.
However, on 16 Jan 2026 at 10:00 a.m., a team of expert engineers together with relevant officials will conduct an on-site investigation to determine the exact cause of the fire.
