Grilled Squid Vendor Assaulted by Angry Customer Demanding Payment Slip

A video clip shows a grilled squid vendor confronted by an angry customer who refused to show a payment slip, ultimately resulting in the vendor being slapped and kicked after discovering the money was not deposited into the account.

The popular Facebook page "Jay Moi v+" shared the story after a grilled squid vendor was subjected to inappropriate behavior by a Thai woman tourist at the beach, including verbal insults and ultimately physical assault with slaps and kicks.

On the evening of 22 January 2026, reporters visited Jomtien Beach, Nong Prue Subdistrict, Bang Lamung District, Chonburi Province, where they met a grilled squid vendor named Mrs. Rabiap Marasan, 52, also known as “Aunt Bing.”

Aunt Bing recounted that the incident occurred on 13 January 2026 while she was selling grilled squid to tourists at Jomtien Beach. A female customer in the video called her over to buy squid. After grilling and handing it to the customer, the customer complained the squid was not hot. Aunt Bing took it back, but then the customer changed her mind and asked for it again. Aunt Bing handed it back and presented the scan payment sign for payment.

After the customer scanned to pay, Aunt Bing noticed the money had not been credited to her account. She politely asked to see the transfer slip, but the customer became upset, verbally abused her, slapped her face, and physically assaulted her by jumping and kicking. Bystanders intervened to separate them. After the incident, the customer returned to sit and drink while consuming the squid without paying, totaling about 100 baht.

Aunt Bing said she chose not to report the incident because the amount was small. She also urged the customer to remain calm, saying if there was truly no money, she would have given the squid for free. However, she stressed that anger, verbal abuse, and violence are unacceptable because encountering someone less patient could escalate the situation into a serious issue.
