The Social Security Office explains in detail what benefits insured persons receive when paying the maximum contribution of 875 baht per month.
FacebookSocial Security Office, Ministry of Laborposted a message about"Do insured persons know what benefits they get by paying 875 baht?"It states that for those earning wages of 17,500 baht or more, the maximum contribution is 875 baht per month. Those earning less than this threshold pay 5% of their actual wages, for example, someone earning 10,000 baht pays 500 baht per month.
The 875 baht monthly contribution is systematically allocated to cover insured persons in seven key cases as follows:
1. Coverage for four basic cases (262.50 baht)
2. Unemployment case (87.50 baht): receive unemployment compensation up to approximately 10,500 baht per month
3. Old-age savings and child allowance (525 baht): the largest portion
For insured persons who have never used any benefits, they can rest assured that old-age savings will support them in retirement. Additionally, if an insured person dies, eligible heirs receive funeral expenses, death benefits, and the insured person's old-age lump sum as financial security, ensuring the Social Security Office continues to support the insured person's family in unforeseen circumstances.
