Check Eligibility for Free Cancer Screening for Social Security Insured under Sections 33 and 39

The Social Security Office invites insured persons under Sections 33 and 39 to exercise their right to free cancer screening and check the eligibility criteria.
4 February of every year The World Health Organization (WHO) and the Union for International Cancer Control (UICC) have designated this day as World Cancer Day to raise global awareness of the dangers of cancer, reduce risk factors, promote prevention, and support patients and their families. It also provides information about warning signs such as persistent ulcers, abnormal lumps, or long-lasting bodily changes.
This World Cancer Day, the Social Security Office encourages insured persons under Sections 33 and 39 to take care of themselves by using the right to free cancer screening. This service is provided at no cost with the following details:
- Breast cancer (screened by doctors or health personnel)
- Ages 30-39: screening every 2 years
- Age 40 and above: screening every year
- Cervical cancer (choose one of three methods)
- Pap Smear (detects abnormal cells): age 30 and above, every 3 years; age 55 and above, screening based on risk factors
- VIA (visual inspection with acetic acid, rapid results): ages 30-55, every 5 years; age 55 and above, Pap Smear is recommended only
- HPV DNA TEST (types 2 and 14 strains): age 30 and above, every 5 years
Conditions for using the free cancer screening right for insured persons under Sections 33 and 39
- Must be insured under Section 33 or Section 39
- Screening can be done at hospitals participating in the "health check-up" program throughout the year
- Simply present your "ID card" only!
- It is recommended to contact the healthcare facility before receiving services every time.
- If cancer is detected, Social Security is ready to provide full coverage for free from diagnosis through to the end of treatment, as long as treatment is received at the hospital under your entitlement.
