
Rain arrived as scheduled, with heavy showers beginning this afternoon in many parts of Bangkok; authorities advisevoters "2026 election" to carry umbrellas and allow extra travel time. The Meteorological Department expects rain to last more than one hour.
8 Feb 2026 13:45 GMT+7Bangkok Metropolitan Administration's Flood Prevention Centerreported on the weather conditions during the 2026 election day, noting that light to moderate rain was observed in Chom Thong, Thonburi, Khlong San, Bang Rak, Bang Kho Laem, Yannawa, Sathorn, Khlong Toei, Phra Khanong, Bang Na, and Huai Khwang, with stable trends. The highest rainfall was 12.5 mm in Thonburi district.
Meanwhile, the Meteorological Department reported light to moderate rain clusters over Bangkok (including Nong Chok, Min Buri, Bang Sue, Dusit, Bang Phlat, Thonburi, Bangkok Yai, and Phasi Charoen districts), Nonthaburi, Pathum Thani, and Nakhon Pathom provinces.
These rain clusters are moving westward, covering Bangkok (Nong Chok, Min Buri, Bang Sue, Dusit, Bang Phlat, Thonburi, Bangkok Yai, Phasi Charoen, and Taling Chan districts), Nonthaburi, and Nakhon Pathom.
Between 13:30 and 14:00, rain is expected to cover Bangkok (Nong Chok, Min Buri, Bang Phlat, Thonburi, Bangkok Yai, Phasi Charoen, and Taling Chan districts), Nonthaburi, and Nakhon Pathom for more than one hour.
Voters are advised to carry umbrellas and rain protection gear and to allow extra travel time. In this election, voters will receive three ballots: a green ballot for constituency representatives, a pink ballot for party-list representatives, and a yellow ballot for the referendum vote. Polling stations nationwide will close simultaneously at 17:00.
