Registration for Co-Payment Phase 2: Aekniti Provides Latest Update and Conditions to Receive 2,000-2,400 Baht

Latest update on the Co-Payment Phase 2 project: "Aekniti" reveals that the money distribution conditions remain based on the original principles. Check which groups are eligible to receive 2,000 baht.

Progress of the project "Co-Payment Plus" Phase 2 which was previously halted due to the 2025 Royal Decree dissolving the parliament on 12 Dec 2025, causing the government of Mr. Anutin Charnvirakul to change status to "caretaker government." This directly impacted the advancement of several key policies, especially the Co-Payment Plus Phase 2 project which was scheduled to be submitted to the Cabinet but has been indefinitely postponed.

However, following the "2026 election" on 8 Feb 2026, when the Election Commission began gradually releasing unofficial results, it appeared that the leading party was the Bhumjaithai Party, led by Mr. Anutin Charnvirakul. This has brought the "Co-Payment Plus" Phase 2 project which had been stalled back into discussion.

Most recently, Mr. Aekniti Nitithanprapas, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance, revealed short-term economic stimulus measures including Co-Payment Plus, saying the system must be prepared to implement once an official government is formed, allowing immediate action. The original terms remain: 2,000 baht for those outside the tax system and 2,400 baht for those within the tax system. It will also be considered whether to distribute simultaneously or first to those missed in the initial round, alongside the Thailand Individual Savings Account (TISA) to encourage savings.

Looking back at the conditions for "Co-Payment Plus Phase 2"

However, reviewing the conditions of the "Co-Payment Plus Phase 2" project, it is limited to 10 million entitlements, with each person receiving 2,000 baht. Eligible recipients are divided into two groups as follows:

  • those who have never participated in the program, and those living in flood-affected areas and provinces along the Cambodian border conflict zone, totaling 5 million entitlements.
  • For people who have previously joined the "Co-Payment Plus" program, there are 5 million entitlements.

It is expected that the 10 million eligible participants in "Co-Payment Plus Phase 2" will each receive 2,000 baht in support throughout the program.

Spending can be made at participating stores between 06:00 and 23:00 via G-Wallet on the "Paotang" application, without the requirement to use the full daily limit of 200 baht.
