Update on Condition of Pattong Prathanakirivat School Director Injured in Hostage Incident

The latest condition of the Pattong Prathanakirivat School director, injured by gunfire during a hostage-taking incident, has been revealed. Meanwhile, police are investigating the motive behind the attack.

On 11 February 2026, reporters provided updates on the case of an armed assailant who committed a violent act inside Pattong Prathanakirivat School on Municipal Road 31, Pattong Subdistrict, Hat Yai District, Songkhla Province.

Recently, Facebook user Darawan Chaisuwan posted an update on the condition of Mrs. Sasiphat Sinsomros, the director of Pattong Prathanakirivat School, who was injured by gunfire. She stated that doctors have performed surgery and the director's condition is now stable, though she remains under close observation and rest. The students are also safe.

The initial motive appears to stem from a conflict involving a teacher disciplining a student who is the younger sister of the assailant.

However, police are continuing their investigation to uncover the full facts regarding the motive behind the incident.
